MiDAS and Total Training UK

Travel Assist has qualified MiDAS and Total Training UK instructors. As well as training our own drivers, we can offer training in both MiDAS and Training UK.

If your organisation needs training on wheelchair handling for minibuses, we can provide training.

MiDAS is the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme. The scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of drivers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to provide safe, legal and comfortable journeys to passengers.

MiDAS Accessible Driver Training is designed and certified by the CTA for organisations and drivers who transport passengers with disabilities.

Total Training is CPD Certified Training, that provides staff with a good knowledge of their legal responsibilities when taking passengers out on a minibus.

The training aims to be able to give staff the knowledge & skills for them to provide a safe, legal & comfortable journey.

Both sets of training provide the necessary skills for those who have responsibility of driving passengers with disabilities and provides information to allow drivers to understand and meet the needs of their passengers aim to improve passenger safety by.
